Experience since 2007 in the industry documented with many publications, press reports and projects

Experience from the food, agriculture, packaging, rubber industry, ink production, printing plate production, mechanical engineering, pet food, parcel shipping, IT, etc. The following examples show the possibilities of the system

Chespa sustainability calculations in all areas

Chespa has been in existence for over 30 years and is a leading and innovative manufacturer of inks, clichés and die-cutting tools in Europe. In the repro studio sector, Chespa is also far ahead of the market in terms of methodology and environmental impact.

Climate3 Sustainability led a sustainability management system at Chespa that included a company climate footprint (CCF) and product climate footprint (PCF) to a concept for implementation in the ERP system. The calculations cover the complete life cycle of the printing inks, clichés and die-cutting tools as well as the calculation of the climate impact of the repro work. The project also included the creation of a materiality matrix and an organisational structure for sustainability.

FRoSTA Homepage Description of the calculation method

(..) How we calculate our ecological footprint
As early as 2008, FRoSTA began setting up a system for calculating the CO2e footprints (PCF) of our products by our developer & sustainability manager Urban Buschmann in cooperation with the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, the Öko-Institut and the WWF. Since 2011, we have published the CO2e footprints of all FRoSTA products on our website (..).
